Introduction
The History Department of our school offers courses for students from Form 1 to Form 3, aiming to help them gain a deeper understanding of the historical background, cultural evolution, and social development of different places. Students will learn about the prehistoric era, the emergence of the four great civilizations, and how people have transitioned the world from god-centred to human-centred through various revolutions. Students are also able to learn different international events and religious beliefs. By studying the political, economic, and social conditions of different historical stages, students can broaden their horizons, uphold correct values and attitudes, and appreciate cultural diversity.
In addition to imparting knowledge, the History Department emphasizes critical thinking and historical research skills. Students will learn how to analyze historical data and conduct research, thereby enhancing their academic capabilities and independent thinking skills.
In summary, the study of history is not merely a tool for understanding the past but also a vital foundation for comprehending current society and future developments. Through this learning process, students will gain a better understanding of their identity and their place in the global community.
